Beginning of artist statement....sort of.

When I work with acrylics, I am reminded that I am not in control.

I begin a piece by recording my dreams.

I know a piece is done when it has intense emotion, and strong contrast.

When my work is going well, I am filled with a sense of infatuation.

When people see my work I'd like them to see the narrative story.

  1. you are not in control? how is that? how does working with acrylics make this evident?

so, the work is about trying to realize your dreams? Is it abstract, are the dreams attainable? are they obvious in the work? is it just about the raw emotion and this comes out in your process? A little clarification could be useful here.

infatuation? for what? the work or your ideas?

The last sentence will make more sense when you clarify some things in the previous statements.
